Shaun is a highly-regarded commercial litigator. With two decades of experience practicing first in New York and then as a partner at one of Canada’s top commercial litigation boutiques, Shaun has broad expertise dealing with complex corporate-commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, securities and financial services litigation, real estate disputes and family and estate matters. He also specializes in franchise litigation, particularly in the automotive sector.

Throughout his career, Shaun has earned a reputation as an erudite and effective litigator. Clients praise him for his responsiveness, strategic thinking, and his excellent written and oral advocacy skills. He has been lauded for finding creative approaches to complex litigation issues. He appears at arbitrations, trials, and appeals as well as administrative hearings and judicial reviews.

Shaun has been recognized for his commercial litigation talents by Chambers, Benchmark Litigation, The Legal 500, The Best Lawyers in Canada and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.

Shaun volunteers as a Chair of the University of Toronto Academic Discipline Tribunal, is a former Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Executive and has sat as a member of the Users Committee for the Commercial List of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Shaun graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he was class valedictorian. He then clerked at the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Called to the Ontario bar in 2005 and the New York bar in 2006.
