Rose Yanco is the Director of Talent and Professional Development at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP. She is committed to professional development, best human resources practices, diversity and inclusion, business development, mentoring, coaching, and developing top legal talent. Rose ensures that the firm builds and optimizes effective policies, procedures, and programming to support the full talent life cycle of students and associates. She is a strategic and results-oriented leader with over 15 years of professional development expertise and extensive management and recruitment experience.
Rose is a lawyer licensed in the Province of Ontario and has practiced in the areas of civil litigation and child welfare protection. After leaving the practice of law, Rose entered the world of Professional Development in the legal industry and was responsible for leading the planning, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of innovative and award-winning professional development programs across Canada. Rose was the Director of Education at The Advocates’ Society where she oversaw the national curriculum and instituted advocacy programs. Rose also worked as the Executive Director of The Law Office Management Association and managed the operations of the organization while serving legal management professionals.
Rose is a strong believer in the fearless pursuit of excellence. She not only promotes professional development to others but is personally committed to lifelong learning. Among completion of many continuing education courses, she also holds Certificates in Executive Leadership, Adult Training and Development, Mental Health First Aid Training and Litigation, Dispute Resolution and the Administration of Justice.
She is a member of National Association for Law Placement, Professional Development Consortium, Law Society of Ontario and The Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL). Rose is an active member of the I4PL’s Diversity and Inclusion Standing Committee.
