Rose Yanco is the Director of Professional Resources and Business Development at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP, where she leads the firm’s strategic initiatives in talent, professional development, business development, and lawyer well-being. Rose oversees the firm’s business development strategy, working closely with lawyers to strengthen client relationships, enhance market presence, and support the firm’s continued growth. She partners with firm leadership on strategic planning, brand development, and market positioning, while also leading the recruitment, development, and retention of associates and law students.

 

Rose is recognized for developing exceptional legal talent, fostering high-performing teams, and helping lawyers build successful and fulfilling careers. She is committed to helping lawyers develop the advocacy, leadership, profile, and interpersonal skills necessary to thrive in today’s evolving legal profession. Through one-on-one coaching, mentoring, strategic career guidance, and firm-wide wellness initiatives, she empowers lawyers to reach their full potential. Rose is a strong advocate for lawyer well-being and believes that fostering wellness across the legal profession is essential to sustaining excellence, resilience, and long-term career success.

 

Before joining Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP, Rose served as Director of Education at The Advocates’ Society, where she led the planning, development, and delivery of award-winning professional development programs for lawyers across Canada. She also served as Executive Director of The Law Office Management Association, overseeing the organization’s operations and supporting legal management professionals across the country. Prior to transitioning into legal leadership and professional development, Rose practised law in Ontario in the areas of civil litigation and child welfare protection.

 

Rose earned her Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from York University, where she graduated with an A+ grade point average, was named to the Dean’s List throughout her studies, and received the Faculty of Arts Sessional Academic Achievement Award for the highest first-year GPA in the entire Faculty of Arts.

 

A lifelong learner, Rose believes in the fearless pursuit of excellence and is deeply committed to continuous professional growth. Among completion of many continuing education courses, she also holds certificates in Executive Leadership Coaching, Adult Training and Development, Executive Leadership, Mental Health First Aid, and Litigation, Dispute Resolution and the Administration of Justice.

 

Rose is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), the Professional Development Consortium, the Legal Marketing Association, and the Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL). She is a Co-Chair of the I4PL’s Professional Development Standing Committee and previously served on its Diversity and Inclusion Standing Committee. She is also a member of NALP’s Well-Being Steering Committee, representing the Canadian region.
