Gillian Olsen is a civil litigation associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP.
Gillian has acted for companies and individuals in complex commercial proceedings, regulatory matters, and corporate investigations in Canada and the United States. Gillian’s investigations mandates have included internal investigations for public and private companies, conducted both independently of and in response to government inquiries. These mandates have involved sensitive allegations of regulatory non-compliance, fraud, and other accounting and finance-related misconduct. Gillian also acts for plaintiffs and defendants in civil sexual assault matters.
Gillian has represented clients in a range of industries including banking and financial services, telecommunications, real estate development, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods.
Before joining Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP, Gillian practiced as an associate at Covington & Burling LLP in New York City and at a full-service law firm in Toronto.
Gillian obtained her law degree with Honours from the University of Toronto, winning academic awards in Evidence and International Human Rights Law and the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Award, which is awarded to five first-year law students obtaining honours. Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, where she graduated on the Dean’s Honour List.
Gillian is a member of the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and The Advocates’ Society.
