David Cruz

ASSOCIATE

David Cruz is a civil litigation associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP. He maintains a broad practice, including commercial litigation, trusts and estates litigation, and tort litigation.

He articled at HHR and worked on civil litigation matters and workplace investigations.

 

David earned his J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. He graduated on the Dean’s List, placing in the top 10% of his class. He won the national award for Best Closing Argument at the Sopinka Cup Trial Competition and the award for Best Overall Advocate at the McKelvey Cup Trial Competition. As a student, David worked for the Dalhousie Legal Aid Service where he represented clients before courts and administrative tribunals.

 

David holds a Master of Music from McGill University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from York University. Before studying law, he worked as a professional jazz guitarist.

 

David is a member of The Advocates’ Society.
