Caterina Cavallo

ASSOCIATE

Caterina is an associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP, where her practice focuses on criminal and regulatory litigation.

 

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Caterina completed her articles at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP, during which time she assisted with investigations and criminal matters before all levels of court. She also summered at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP in 2021 and 2022.

 

Caterina obtained her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During law school, she was an executive member of the Criminal Law Students’ Association, where she organized panel discussions and hosted events on various topics in criminal law. She was a student caseworker in the Criminal Law Division at Downtown Legal Services and represented clients charged with criminal and/or academic offences. She also completed the Appellate Criminal Litigation Externship, during which she assisted various criminal defence lawyers with serious criminal matters.

 

Prior to attending law school, Caterina earned a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Psychology, with high distinction, from the University of Toronto. Her studies focused on criminal behaviour and the application of scientific methods to help answer legal questions arising in criminal proceedings.

 

Caterina is passionate about volunteering with young persons. She actively volunteers at The Darling Home for Kids, where she provides companionship to children with complex medical needs. She also volunteers at the Associated Youth Services of Peel, where she facilitates restorative justice circles for young persons charged with criminal offences.

 

Caterina is a member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association and The Advocates’ Society.
